Since 2016, we have invested over $400,000 in Alzheimer’s care and research.

About…

Our Mission

Our mission is simple - we want to “Make Alzheimer's a Memory!” While that is our mission, we also want to provide a better quality of life for our neighbor’s currently living with Alzheimer’s and their families.

Our Namesake

Karen Lee Dubea was diagnosed with Younger-Onset Alzheimer’s at the age of 48 years old in 2011. Karen succumbed to Alzheimer’s on March 18, 2022. While she is our namesake, she - nor her family - have or will benefit in anyway from the work the Foundation does.

Our History

Friends and family of Karen immediately started raising money through the Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer's and our Team Karen - led by Karen’s twin sister, Kim. In 2016, we wanted to do more, and officially formed the 501(c)3 non-profit that we have today.

Our Partners

All of the money in the world is worthless if it is not used wisely. That is why we are so proud of where we invest our funds. Our partners at Joyful Journey and the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation are the best what they do.

Our Team

We are a group of passionate volunteers that believe deeply in our mission. There is no paid staff as we are 100% volunteer run and organized. This ensures that more funds can be spent on our mission!

Alzheimer’s

Alzheimer’s is the deadliest disease in the world with no known cure, treatment, or prevention. 1 out of 3 seniors will die with Alzheimer’s. Without scientific breakthroughs, Alzheimer’s will impact 100 million lives within 30 years.
